E.P. Barrette, MD, FACP

Joint Appointment in Infectious Diseases and Division of Medical Education

Dr. Barrette joined the infectious disease division faculty in 2008. He received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School in 1990 and then completed his Internal medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. Since then he has held academic appointments at the University of Washington School of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He has held hospital appointments at University of Washington Medical Center, Massachusetts General hospital, and Metrohealth Medical Center (Cleveland). He has provided primary care to patient with HIV since completing his residency. Currently he sees patients in the Infectious Disease Clinic. In addition, Dr. Barrette provides primary care at a Grace Hill Neighborhood Health Center (a federally qualified health center) which serves low income and uninsured patients.

Research Interests

Dr. Barrette's research interests include the primary care of HIV infection.
