The bone and joint infectious diseases inpatient consultation service is staffed year-round by division faculty and a nurse practitioner with expertise in treating musculoskeletal and surgical site infections in patients who have undergone orthopedic, vascular and hand surgery.

The outpatient infectious disease clinical practice of the division is staffed by faculty, fellows, nurse practitioners and physician assistants during weekdays. The clinic provides comprehensive monitoring of patients discharged on long-term home intravenous antibiotic therapy and continuity of care for patients seen in the hospital by the inpatient consultation service. The clinic also provides consultation to patients referred by physicians in the community for diagnostic evaluation and management of musculoskeletal infectious diseases.
